NINNA.ID– Friday to Saturday 29-30 September 2023 was a great moment for Batak Centre Group took 2 days full trip. Some homecoming for this mission. Mission surrounds Lake Toba by MTI Ship.
Around 43 passengers enjoyed their holiday on MTI Ship. This ship is big enough and can load around 180 passengers. But Situmorang only allowed 40-50 people per trip in order to maximize the satisfaction of customers.
Situmorang has 4 crew members that work on this ship. Every crew member works professionally. They serve the customers best.
Some of the members Batak Center group took part in Geotrail by Boat for 2 days homecoming to take part in sailing on Lake Toba.
Lake Toba marks the heartland of the Batak people
Sailing for two days on Lake Toba using the MTI ship satisfies their longing to see Batak villages, enjoy Batak Traditional Food and even reminisce about childhood stories when they lived in the village.
Karaoke Room
In the karaoke room, most of the group sang nostalgic songs, opera songs, and even songs which lyrics were full of the meaning of life. While singing songs and seeing Lake Toba, emotions overflowed.
Expressing a feeling of wanting to do more for Lake Toba. However, face-to-face discussions and tours had to stop after two days.
The group had to return to their normal routines. Ideas for Lake Toba will be discussed further in the Whatsapp Group room.

From Jakarta Dr Irian Sitorus, Sabar Napitupulu, Hasudungan Limbong. Participants from Medan included: Enni Martalena Pasaribu, Dr Ivan Elisabeth Purba, Ance Sitohang, Posman Sibuea, Dr Defri Simatupang, Dr Basaria Talarosha and her husband, and other participants.
Although the tour was done, almost every member had specific targets that they planned to do for Lake Toba.
Dr Irian Sitorus said, “Hopefully in the future, there will be things we can do through the Lake Toba Community Services Cooperative. At yesterday’s event (Geotrail by Boat Batak Center) I was making my own research. I wanted to get suggestions or input. I was also currently surveying a proposed weekend package Lake Toba Tour. Just say, if we depart from Jakarta Friday afternoon at 5 pm, Saturday and Sunday we spend the holiday until 10.00 pm in the Lake Toba area. The travel from Parapat to Kualanamu 3,5 hours. We can arrive on Sunday Morning around 4.30 am. Arrive in Jakarta at 7 am.”
Sabar Napitupulu said, “For me, Lake Toba is so beautiful. As someone whose hometown is Lake Toba, I want to contribute to improving its tourism industry. Because this was my first to surround Lake Toba by ship, there were many new places that I had seen for the first time around Lake Toba. This trip was very memorable because it involved people who cared about Lake Toba. My specific target is to invite or promote my relatives who have never been to Lake Toba to visit Lake Toba,”
