Traveling to Lake Toba with DAMRI
I have personally tried this service when I had to take a guest to Lake Toba on Sunday, February 23, 2025. Curious about the newly simplified DAMRI experience, I decided to give it a try.
Arriving at Kualanamu Airport around 5 PM, I immediately looked for the DAMRI counter. A staff member informed me that tickets had to be purchased online. Without hesitation, I downloaded the DAMRI Apps on my phone and registered an account.
Within a few simple steps, I successfully booked a ticket for the 7 PM departure.
The payment process was seamless. I chose the BRI Virtual Account option and completed the transaction using the BRImo app on my phone.
Within minutes, my seat was confirmed—no queues, no worries about tickets selling out. It was incredibly convenient!
Previously, getting to Lake Toba from Kualanamu Airport was quite a challenge for many travelers. Available transportation options were often inconsistent, difficult to find, and expensive.
However, thanks to government subsidies, DAMRI to Lake Toba now offers a more comfortable and budget-friendly solution.
